Shelley & Eric's Wedding | Wildwood Inn
Shelley and Eric met doing a traveling children’s musical, touring all over the US. Shelley was a pig prosecutor in the trial of the big bad wolf, and Eric was the production manager and sound technician. Four years later, on they day they moved to New York, on a rooftop overlooking George Washington Bridge, Eric proposed.
Shelley and Eric’s wedding was a perfect blend of sweet and nerdy. The florals were blush pink garden roses, red anemones, brunia and seeded eucalyptus. Shelley wore a gorgeous, lace, cap-sleeve gown with a keyhole back. Bridesmaids wore navy blue Henkaa convertible dresses. Eric and his groomsmen wore grey Vera Wang suits with red Converse sneakers. Eric wore Triforce cufflinks that were a gift from Shelley. This was not the only Legend of Zelda reference at this wedding, the groom’s cake was covered in gold glitter and topped with the Legend of Zelda Triforce eagle. For favors they had little succulents with the sign "Love is stubborn, so are these".
Their evening ceremony was under globe lights, rustic lanterns and a big Texas sky. I was truly moved when Eric - albeit slightly begrudgingly - vowed to never use blue shell on his bride when playing Super Mario Kart - that’s true love! During the reception Shelley’s dad and stepmom performed a choreographed dance to Megan Trainor’s “Dance like Your Daddy”. It was quite the crowd pleaser! Before their bubble send off, Shelley and Eric had their last dance of the night away from everyone. It was so sweet and intimate. More couples should consider doing something like this.
Next week they head to Paris for their belated-honeymoon! I’m super jealous. Have a great time guys!
