Cathy & Antonello | Bartow-Pell Mansion, NYC
What excited Cathy most about their wedding was “seeing family get together from all over the country and the world.” Cathy and her family are from Texas and Antonello and his family are from Italy. I love weddings that are a total melding of cultures.
Cathy wore an elegant Maggie Sottero gown, and Antonello wore a navy blue, tailored, Sean John suit. Cathy and her bridesmaids hand made their unique fabric bouquets. Their colors were mint, blush pink, and champagne, with touches of light blue.
They had a wonderfully New York wedding. The ceremony took place at the stunning church, Our Lady of Pompeii in the West Village. Parts of the ceremony were in Italian, and they had a professional Italian opera singer, who was just incredible! After the ceremony it started to rain, so we hopped on the party bus and headed up to the Bronx. Thankfully the rain had passed by the time we got there. Portraits were at the gardens at Bartow-Pell Mansion, a stunning historical property and NY hidden gem. I could’ve spent the whole day there! The reception was at Scavello’s on the Island, in the Bronx. The Italian singer graced again with a few more songs that had guests (and myself) in total awe. It was one of those “only in New York” things. Where else would a bunch of Texas transplants dance with native Italians and be serenaded by a professional Italian opera singer, without leaving the US? I love this city.
After the wedding Cathy & Antonello spent their honeymoon in (of course) Italy. Color me super jealous. Happy Anniversary, Cathy & Antonello!
